Messianic Banners

In 1993, Charles, a Messianic Jewish believer, made his first banner for the March for Jesus (Yeshua) in the city of Fort Myers, Florida. He wanted a banner that indicated that Jewish people could celebrate Yeshua (Jesus) as the Messiah. The Yeshua Banner has a Star of David and two blue stripes on a white background thus representing the flag of Israel. While constructing this banner, the Lord gave Charlie his next banner -- Light of the World. Within minutes, the new design came to life as Charlie jotted down the pattern for this banner. Light of the World has the ancient Hebrew script for Yeshua and a menorah which was the Lampstand of the Taberacle.

The brilliant colors of banners had always fascinated a fellow Messianic believer named Carol, but she never dreamed that she would be used by God in such a ministry. However, during the banner procession of the 1993 Messiah Conference, the Spirit of God repeatedly requested Carol to dedicate her art talent to Him. On His third request, Carol in tears, answered "Yes, Here am I, use me." Because of Carol's obedience, God miraculously turned her life around by having Carol return to teaching art in the public schools. Miracle? Yes, she had been on an eleven year sabbatical of rebellion to teaching, allowed her teaching certificate to expire, and had been completely out of work for over a year!

God immediately started to deal with Carol about repentance. One month after the Messiah Conference, the first banner design for Carol came forth. T'Shuva, a Hebrew word meaning "to repent or return to God." On Yom Kippur, the next design was given -- Hineni, Here Am I. This is taken directly from the scripture of Isaiah 6:8: "Here I am, God, send me." Within a month, another banner design was given to Carol: Choose the Fear of the Lord. All three of these designs were extremely important for the obedience of Carol and Charlie to make the banners proclaim God's messages exactly like God had shown.

So, as you can see, God's order for the beginning banners were extremely important keys in their walk with Yeshua. Yeshua, Light of the World, Repent and Return, Hineni - Here Am I, and Choose the Fear of the Lord. The Hineni concept was so important, that Carol and Charlie made eight of these banners in one year, sending them out all over the U.S. and Canada. The next banner design was of utmost importance; Keep My Shabbat Holy. When you learn to honor Shabbat (Sabbath), God takes care of all other needs.

Carol and Charlie (who are dedicated prayer intercessors) have received all of the designs for the banners during or after prayer. They are both being trained and equipped by the Ruach Ha Kodesh (the Holy Spirit). Prayer, obedience, and the fear of God are the most important keys to this ministry. God gives Carol explicit instructions (the designs, colors, and scriptures) for each banner. Almost the same way that God gave Moses the explicit instructions regarding the construction of the Tabernacle. "You do it according to God's pattern." Presently over 115 banners have been made in less than six years; these banners have been placed in 11 different nations. They also have been shown on TBN (the Trinity Broadcasting Network) during the summer of 1994 and 1995. "Praise the Lord!"
