Charles Wysocki has titled his third commemorative print Mr. Spring. For,
he asks, "Who better to represent this delightful time of the year than this red-breasted king, who has
been acknowledged as the representative bird to usher in this beautiful season?"
Wysocki started the commemorative print series for 1983, when his winter bird was wrapped in a warm
muffler. For 1984, the artist had his bird-friend dressed in a tuxedo and top hat ready to step
out for a lighthearted fall evening.
1985 is spring. And for this year, at least, Charles Wysocki has given us the first robin of
the season.
