"Oh, the wonderment of Christmas Eve, with its anticipation of the great day to come.
Depicting a typical, snowy, New England, busy street scene of last-minute shoppers was
my intent here. I feel this cheery hustle bustle is still prevalent in today's most festive
of all seasons, and it seems these holdout late purchasers will always prevail. Yes,
I fall into the class of these late gift-buying folks myself. I love the feel of Christmas
Day being so close — just hours away. It still holds a special, childlike sensation
for me. So the spell remains now as it did then, and I suppose, happily, it always
