still quite helpless and dependent upon their mother. She scratches for their high fiber breakfast, keeps
them warm, and depends them beak and claw against foes 200 times her size.
Motherhood is not easy, but it has its rewards. I'm certain that she must feel satisfaction knowing that her
chicks are safe under her watchful eye. It won't be long until they are able to fend for themselves and will
be scratching for their own living."
