Presenting one of Charles Wysocki's greatest masterpieces, Fireside Companions.
Produced with loving care and exacting standards, every sumptuous color and grin-tickling detail
from the original painting are here especially for your enjoyment.
Whether you love early Americana or share an affinity for fine books (both passions
of Charles Wysocki), you will find this print to be a visual feast.
"As a child the anticipation of seeing a horse drawn vehicle coming around the
corner and down my street is a memory dear to me. Of the vegetable, ice cream, waffle,
or scissor sharpener wagons my favorite was always the book seller, because it meant
hours of enjoyment over and over again. Being a lover of books and a listener to the radio
in my early years is also now part of my life because to this day and for many years, I've
been an avid listener to books on tape while I am painting. This activity, coupled with these
joyful vivid childhood memories was the inspiration for this painting. If one person
after studying this painting is hopefully inspired to read and thereafter becomes a
faithful bookworm, I will have considered this painting a success."
--- Charles Wysocki
