"The strength of a parent's prayer cannot be overestimated. I have heard
stories over and over again about a praying mother. Sometimes her answer
looked a million miles away, but she kept praying, and God kept answering in
His time and in His way. He honors those moments when a parent stands before
His throne, begging for heavenly intervention.
We would do well to start the process early — while a baby is still in the
womb would be an excellent beginning. It's wise to commit children and
the facets of their lives way before the moment arrives. I have been
praying a long time for the mates God will provide for my boys. I have
also prayed for their careers and that God would use them to His glory.
I don't think I'll regret that.
In this painting you see a result of prayer. The angels, though unseen,
are promised in Scripture, The angel of the Lord encamps around those who
fear Him, and He saves them, Psalm 34:7. Someday we will see how much God
used them to keep our children from the harm and the danger of this world."
